MBC Foods Menu
Showcasing Local Products
Our menu is what you will typically find when we set up at fairs, shows and events. It specialises in showcasing local seafood with local products. We are very passionate and proud of what we offer and you will taste it in our freshly cooked food.
We use our very own salt and pepper coating mix on the local Spencer Gulf prawn skewers. We slide four prawns on each, coat them in our mix and then shallow fry them on our BBQ plate with veggie oil, olive oil and sesame oil, we then finish them with lemon juice. Delicious! We have been making and selling these for over 15 years and our customers come back time and time again. We have also been on many TV shows showing viewers how to make this recipe.
We have also recently added in beer battered SA King George whiting. In the past we used South Australian Coopers Pale Ale, however when a local Yorke Peninsula brewery started up ‘Watsacowie Brewing Co.’ in Minlaton, the switch to use their Pale Ale was a no brainer. A match made in heaven!
Once the seafood became popular our next addition was adding in the perfect chip. Our chips are super crunchy and we season them with a tasty veggie salt.
Next came ‘The Marion’. We created this option so that customers can get the whole seafood experience in one large easy to hold cone.
Summer holidays, school holidays, long weekends and more made catering for kids an essential service. So hot chips, ice creams and drinks were added to make MBC Foods retro style food van the one stop shop for the whole family.

Mobile Kitchen
Bringing Our Kitchen to You
Our brand new Spitfire retro food van was built in Melbourne and started operating in September 2019. It has a state of the art commercial kitchen inside with stainless steel bench tops, range hood exhaust system, hot water, lights, window servery and gas burners. It can be used as a food van, mobile kitchen and a bar.
This van turns heads when on the road and always adds atmosphere at any occasion.
